How Did I Discover It?

A few months before the college entrance exam, I needed to migrate my website, so I moved my Mix Space to a new server. It happened to be March, and the free installation of OpenClaw at the Tencent Building in Shenzhen was quite popular. I tried it that weekend, and unexpectedly, I got hooked and spent a lot of time on it. Fortunately, with it, everything became very convenient. But after the migration, I found that the Vercel frontend couldn't recognize MixSpace. What was going on? I visited the blog of the Mix Space author. His name was easy to remember: innei. I opened his blog, and the first thing I saw was the brand new theme—Yohaku. The design was clean and efficient. The key feature was called "Yohaku." I was deeply impressed. I had heard 25ji's "Yohana ni Mitorete." The imagery of "Yoka" in Japanese means "remaining," but the flowers haven't completely scattered. It leaves an indelible thought. I have always loved the lyrics of this song. So when I saw this blog, I immediately wanted to get it.

Encountered Some Difficulties.

But when I clicked into innei's GitHub, I found that things were not that simple.

First, Yohaku is closed source. Second, the donation price was $10 per month. This put me in a tough spot. I had to use Hermes Agent to draft an email for me, but I hesitated to send it to innei. It wasn't until after the college entrance exam that I was surprised to find that the original per-month subscription on GitHub had been moved to a one-time payment, and the price had been updated from

10 to

15. But at least that made things easier. A one-time donation of about 100 RMB, and I got this blog.

Features and Design

First of all, the design is breathtaking. This design is not only reflected in the static appearance but also in the subtle animations. Elegant glows accompany non-linear animations. These animations are not just for non-interactive elements like the background; when you hover over the top bar, you'll find that each menu item corresponds not only to the subpages under that category but also features different layouts for different sections.

The animations revolve around elegance and efficiency. And this elegance is present in every detail. Although each page and component has different functions, you'll find how harmonious these components are, without any visual distraction. It makes reading the blog no longer feel like two separate worlds isolated from reality, but rather brings paper onto the screen. It does not redefine the essence of reading, but perfectly transfers the essence of reading to the screen.

Source Code Bugs

After all, it's a work by an individual developer, so there are still some bugs. I've fixed them and reported them to innei, but I'm too lazy to reinstall to see if they've been fixed. Initially, among a bunch of articles, only one was correctly translated, and the rest couldn't be translated. Correspondingly, I deleted that article and enabled full translation. But I found that then no article was successfully translated. So I had the agent check the MixSpace source code and found these lines:

This indicates that the translation component is not yet complete and cannot trigger translation correctly. At least the version that can translate hasn't been pushed to GitHub. Innei also said it's already in progress, so it might be fixed by now.

Secondly, it seems intentional: when the blog language is set to Traditional Chinese, only Simplified Chinese is displayed. The code explicitly states that when the language is Traditional Chinese, it retrieves the Simplified Chinese text instead of translating separately. That is, even if I let the backend translate to zhtw, it only exists in the database and cannot be read by the frontend. But since the Yohaku frontend is closed source, I can't mess with it. For now, I've only modified the MixSpace backend to remove this mapping, so when the global language is Traditional Chinese, the articles can finally display Traditional Chinese translations. However, clicking the "Traditional Chinese" button on the frontend language switcher still doesn't work. So there are still some bugs, depending on whether you care about Traditional Chinese translation. (It's changed now. I had AI help me fix this issue, but it pulled the latest source code and deleted the language selector on the article page. Now I can only change the global display language. Just as I finished the fix, innei's own website still can't make the global Traditional Chinese setting work. But as mentioned earlier, this might be intentional...)

As of Today

It's now June 22, 2026. More than ten days have passed since the college entrance exam ended, and also more than ten days since I got this blog. Yohaku has made me fall in love with the process of typing in the library. It has made me fall in love with the process of writing down long texts.

Compared to Moments and Bilibili feeds, it feels more like a quiet, silent, private space.

It can touch the heart more deeply.
