My new brother-in-law is a PhD student in law.
It just so happens I've been having some doubts about my major, so I spent the whole morning talking with him. My grades aren't great (probably around 550), and he said a lot of humanities programs aren't really viable. After ruling out the ones I can't apply to, there wasn't much left—and the law program group I'd pick is bundled with some less-than-ideal options. He also said it doesn't matter much: just pick schools from the list for the civil service exam, and even if I end up in a less prestigious major, it'll still help when I apply for a law master's later. Now I'm totally confused.
I've been working on the website lately, fixing it one thing at a time, so I've been busy. Since I only brought my Surface Pro 9 back to my hometown, I can't edit videos, so I'm just doing what I can for now. The reason is also pretty unlucky—I'm planning to write a proper article about it soon.
I'm out of money, out of money, and the server is about to expire too. DigitalOcean changed their policies, so cheap servers are hard to come by. This afternoon I bought an Oracle one as a stopgap. I'm worried it might crash, so I need to back things up regularly.
That's all.
